I was recently working with a client when we came to a powerful realization that nearly broke my heart.

With her permission, I’m going to share it with you now.

She was commenting on how she felt as she saw other couples on social media.  Men and women who had been married for many years were sharing their gratitude for their spouse; how wonderful they were; how blessed they felt to be partners.  Basically, one spouse totally enamored and in awe of their counterpart.  She longed for such a relationship.

As she went on, she revealed how she had already ruined any chance of a good man every wanting her by the time she had turned 16.  She had a belief she wasn’t worthy of the love of a good man.  She believed she was not worthy of such a relationship and that she just had to do her best to fake it on the outside to hold it all together.

The pain she felt was palpable.  She has been carrying and living out this erroneous belief for so many years and the evidence of this belief had played out in so many scenarios in her life.

As I pondered on her patterns in life and this belief that we discovered, I realized she is not alone.  So many of us feel we are not worthy of one thing or another.

You may believe you are not worthy of the love of a good man or woman.  Maybe you believe you are not worthy of the love of one or both of your parents.  Perhaps you believe you are not worthy of success or happiness.

Whatever your underlying belief is, that is what your energy sets out to make happen for you.

Let me say that again… Whatever your underlying belief is, that is what your energy sets out to make happen for you.  You may not even know what belief(s) you have under the surface, but what is manifesting in your life is directly orchestrated by your beliefs!
